Québec City residents were treated to a magnificent Emerald Ball benefitting the Fondation Sourdine, which funds the École oraliste de Québec pour enfants malentendants ou sourds with the support of the Lobe Santé auditive et communication clinics.
With music for dancing provided by Les Voltigeurs de Québec, shows by the Moonlight Girls and the 78th Fraser Highlanders, a military touch courtesy of the Royal 22eRégiment’s Changing of the Guard, VIP guests and a gourmet menu concocted by Jean Soulard, the Emerald Ball once again gave over 300 guests a chance to enjoy a lavish evening in the sumptuous ballroom of Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and raise $90,000 for the Fondation Sourdine, to benefit the École oraliste de Québec pour enfants malentendants ou sourds.
Organized by the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem and presided over by Honorary Chair Isabelle Hudon, President of Sun Life Financial, Québec, the 22nd Emerald Ball also owes its success to the generosity of its partners, Sun Life Financial, Lobe Santé auditive et communication, Sennheiser (audiology section) and many other sponsors, as well as to a number of distinguished guests, including Québec City Mayor Régis Labeaume, celebrity couple Marie-Josée Taillefer and René Simard, magician Luc Langevin, and former Port of Québec CEO Ross Gaudreault. Last but not least, collaborations withPrestige magazine, the Barakatt Harvey law firm and Action Indemnisation helped make the prestigious benefit gala the hit that it was as well.
