L’implication 2011 de la Table de concertation des personnes aînées de la Capitale-Nationale

For the benefit of representatives from over 50 member organizations, the Table de concertation organized a variety of interesting meetings, discussion groups, presentations and an annual symposium on quality of life for seniors. In spring 2011, a conference entitled “Oser briser l’isolement des pauvretés” dealt with the isolation of poverty. Another daylong event held in the fall, this time on the topic “La passion n’a pas d’âge” (passion has no age limit), was also a resounding success.

A number of projects will be undertaken in 2012, including a members’ newsletter produced in partnership with Québec City’s Table de concertation sur l’accessibilité universelle, and major upgrades to our Web site promoting the services provided by member organizations.

Last but not least, let us not forget the Table de concertation’s role as an intermediary between various organizations and the Minister responsible for Seniors, Marguerite Blais, in working to advance the organizations’ initiatives. The members of the Board of Directors also sit on various committees and regularly take part in training and informative activities focusing on seniors’ living conditions.
