Table de concertation des personnes aînées de la Capitale-Nationale

The Table de concertation des personnes aînées de la Capitale-Nationale, a steering committee for seniors in Québec City and the surrounding area, was established in 1999 as part of the International Year of Older Persons.

This committee reflects the willingness of various senior citizens’ and retirees’ associations to join forces to improve quality of life for our elderly. It is their voice at the regional level, an information and discussion forum, and their advocate before government decision-makers.

Mission

  • To promote collaboration at the regional level by fostering ties between elderly people, senior citizens’ groups and organizations working to improve the living conditions of citizens.
  •  To become the authority to which regional and governmental powers turn when examining regional perspectives and issues surrounding aging, seniors’ participation in social, civic and professional life, and changing demographic realities.
