Be prepared for a new world of hearing!
For the past ten years, there has been incredible technological development for electronic devices. Take for example DVD players, digital cameras, MP3 players, and even GPS systems which guide us step by step no matter where we are. That being said, few people are aware of the latest technological advances in the field of hearing aids.

Automatic adjustments

Hearing aids can now be fully automatic, adjusting with precision according to the environment. For example, if you are in a noisy environment, the hearing aid which constantly analyses sound will recognise speech and reduce the amplification of noises which could limit the comprehension of speech.

Hearing aids which talk to you!

In addition to the automatic programs, specific programs can also be stored in the hearing aid. A program for music can be set-up for those who enjoy this kind of art or a program for the telephone for those who experience difficulties during this activity.

So that the user knows precisely in which program he is, the hearing aid will vocally indicate the name of the program selected and will announce when the batteries must be changed.

You can select a female or male voice in the language of your choice (there are up to six languages available).

Recording data

With this new technology, data can be recorded into the hearing aids memory, so information about hearing aid use and acoustic environment can be stored. This enables the audioprosthetist to optimise the adjustments of the hearing aid according to the patient’s personal needs and their hearing aid use.

For more information, do not hesitate to contact the audioprosthetists which work in the Lobe Santé auditive et communication clinics. They will be pleased to answer your questions.
